1. Use it for what it is
Whichtrades tells you which trades a job usually involves and the order they work in, so that you can have a better conversation with the people who will do the work. Using it for that, including printing the result and handing it to a contractor, is exactly what it is for.
2. Prohibited high-risk uses
You must not use the service, or anything it produces, as an input to decisions in any of the following contexts:
- medical or health decisions;
- legal advice or legal proceedings;
- financial or insurance decisions;
- safety-critical decisions of any kind, including structural, gas, electrical or fire safety;
- employment or hiring decisions;
- credit decisions;
- housing decisions, including tenancy, eviction or habitability;
- judicial or law-enforcement decisions.
The safety exclusion is the one that matters most here. The service makes no structural or safety assessment, and it must never be treated as one. Anything involving load-bearing structure, gas or asbestos has to be looked at on site by a qualified professional.
3. Do not present it as something it is not
You must not:
- present output as professional, regulatory or engineering advice;
- present output as a determination that any work is or is not compliant, notifiable or permitted;
- use output to certify, sign off or approve anything;
- represent that the service endorses, recommends or has vetted any tradesperson or firm.
4. Content you submit
You must not upload:
- photographs containing people. These are not accepted and are rejected at upload;
- anyone else’s personal data, including images of documents, name plates or vehicle plates;
- unlawful, infringing or malicious content;
- content intended to manipulate the service into producing a compliance, safety or qualification verdict.
5. Do not attack or resell the service
- No scraping, bulk extraction or automated access outside normal use of the interface.
- No attempt to probe, disrupt or circumvent security, rate limits or plan allowances.
- No reselling access, and no building a competing product from our job table or its wording.
- No sharing an account with people outside your household or organisation.
6. Age
The service is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it.
7. What happens if this policy is broken
We may warn you, limit access, suspend the account, or close it, depending on what has happened. Where we close an account for a breach we will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so, and we will refund any unused portion of a paid period. Serious matters may be reported to the appropriate authority.
8. Reporting
If you believe someone is using the service in a way this policy prohibits, tell us at support@ispinstallation.shop.
